Neon colours in focus for make-up at H&M this spring

One of the season’s hottest make-up themes is inspired by 90’s futuristic style. Shiny metallics and neon colours feel new and fresh again. Wear them on a natural complexion lightly brushed with bronzing powder, accentuating the eyes or lips with the bright colours of this spring.

“This look was really sophisticated in the 90’s, as opposed to today when it’s more about a playful kind of minimalism. I particularly like the sparkling colours,” says H&M’s head of design Margareta van den Bosch.

 This spring’s make-up uses metallic or neon coloured eyeshadow, while moisturized complexions are enhanced with a light dusting with bronzing powder. Mascara is black and lips are painted glossy with cerise or apricot lipgloss. Shadows and gloss should be applied softly, with no sharp lines.
