Exclusive autumn campaign news, plus all the latest looks for the season

Gisele is the face, and also the voice, of H&M’s autumn campaign

Gisele Bundchen is the face of H&M’s autumn campaign. The international supermodel will wear the season’s essential pieces at H&M, a tough but feminine look straight from the streets of utilitarian coats and blazers worn with blouses, sweatshirts and pants. In a world exclusive, Gisele will also be singing in the campaign which includes TV and online commercials, as well as print and billboard advertising, debuting on September 12. The song, All Day And All Of The Night, by The Kinks, will be available for free download from hm.com, and will also be on iTunes, raising money for UNICEF.For every single download from iTunes, H&M will make a donation to UNICEF to enable the purchase of vaccines for children. “I am so excited to be the face of H&M this autumn. I love the street style look, and that we can raise funds for a good cause. I hope everyone downloads my song!” says Gisele.

Mauritz Archive: the outdoors heritage of H&M inspires a new urban look for men

Coming this autumn, a special collection, Mauritz Archive, looks to the little-known outdoors heritage of H&M to create a new urban look for men. The collection is inspired by the archives of old Swedish outdoors store Mauritz Widfors, the “M” in H&M. The capsule range is full of pieces perfect for men in the city today, such as multi-pocket wool blazers, waxed cotton utility jackets, quilted shell linings, cardigan jackets and patched 5-pocket jeans. There’s accessories like a rucksack, Ipad case and waterproofed boots, and it goes in selected stores worldwide on September 19, as well as online.

This Halloween, children dress up as H&M raises funds for UNICEF’s All for Children

H&M is giving children the chance to enter the fantasy world of an 18th century masquerade ball with this year’s All for Children collection, raising funds for UNICEF. The collection features pieces such as Marie Antoinette dresses and mermaid costumes. There is also pirate outfits, bat capes, and matching accessories. Available from 10th October, 25% of all sales will support UNICEF’s work in Bangladesh to improve access to quality education for some of the most vulnerable children.

Mmenswear designer’s pick of the season: the perfect autumn wardrobe

The new season means a wardrobe update for men. Head menswear designer Andreas Löwenstam talks through the key pieces for autumn, and how to wear them for great personal style.

HERRINGBONE COAT: “This sharp herringbone coat is such a useful piece. It can be dresses up, or worn with a soft cashmere sweater and jeans for a more relaxed look.”

CROPPED JACKET: “The neat shape of this jacket makes it so easy to wear. It gives a smart look with a whole new attitude, and can be worn with a shirt, sweater, trousers and a patterned scarf.”

CAMEL BLAZER: “It’s great when you can take a traditional piece and give it a twist. Wear it together with a denim shirt and a pair of casual slacks, playing with formality and informality.”

PIN-STRIPED SUIT: “Pin-stripes look so fresh right now, especially when adding something new. We put red in the stripes of the dark navy bottoms to shake up the style. The suit is so bold, it’s best worn with a crisp white poplin shirt.”

UTILITY JACKET: “Functionality is always key in menswear, which is why the utility jacket is so strong this autumn. This one has a coated surface, multiple pockets and a detachable inner jacket, and looks just right worn with a striped sweater and cord slacks.”

BIKER JACKET: “The biker jacket is one of the season’s must-haves, especially when it’s in new fabrics. This biker is in boiled wool, and has the most amazing texture. Wear it together with a classic white T-shirt and jeans, or with a textured sweater and flannel trousers.”
