David von Heijne took on the role of Chief Supply Chain Officer and joined the management team, reporting to Daniel Ervér, CEO, at the end of January. David will be heading a unified Supply Chain function, with end-to-end responsibility for the inventory flow. This is a new role and function, bringing together key capabilities across the value chain to support continued growth and improve responsiveness, always keeping the customer at the centre.
David joined H&M Group in 2011 and has since held several senior roles across controlling and product-related functions, including Head of Controlling for the Buying Office and Head of Function for Global Product Offer, Development and Support. He is currently Managing Director of Product Operations, a responsibility he will continue to hold alongside his new role. He studied at Stockholm University and Harvard University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and finance.
After close to ten years within the H&M Group, of which the last three as our Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO), Ellen Svanström has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities. We are now starting a recruitment process to find a suitable successor. Ellen will remain in her current role during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover and seamless onboarding of her successor. During her time as CDIO, Ellen has played an essential role in establishing a strong foundation and driving progress within the tech organisation.
