First H&M store in Singapore has opened

Today thousands of H&M fans were lining up when the first H&M store in Singapore opened its doors at Orchard Building, Grange Road.

Lex Keijser, Country Manager Singapore cut the red ribbon together with the store manager Martin Romero.

“It’s been a fantastic response from our customers today; it feels great to finally be here with our first store in Singapore. I hope the excitement shows that our business concept has a following in South East Asia as well,” says Lex Keijser, Country Manager H&M Greater China and Singapore.

This flagship store has a 2,800 square meters space that spans across three levels with a complete range of fashion and accessories for women, men, teenagers and kids.

Last night at the pre-launch party, around 1,800 fashionistas, media and opinions leaders were indulged with some serious shopping to celebrate the opening.

The H&M store is located at Orchard Building at 1 Grange Road and has 150 employees. Opening hours are 10 am to 10pm daily.

H&M opened its first stores in Asia in Hong Kong and Shanghai in 2007, followed by Japan in 2008 and South Korea in 2010.
