H&M´s store in Uruguay is finally open!

An unusual flow of people was found along the area of Montevideo Shopping from very early hours of the morning on the 6th of October, as around 1000 customers participated of the grand opening of H&M’s very first Uruguayan store. The long-awaited store finally opened its doors at 11am Saturday morning, filled with dance from the H&M staff as well as a Tango couple, music, surprises and opening offers, making fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way now accessible to everyone in Uruguay!

The new store opening was highly anticipated with customers queuing from Thursday night to be among the firsts to grab hold of the extensive fashion items on offer. Right before the official opening hour, a pre-opening countdown party hosted by actor Nicolás Furtado and DJ Vala Nirenberg was enthusiastically enjoyed by everyone in the line. Customers also received a tote bag with H&M goodies and gift cards.

 

H&M’s country manager for Chile, Perú and Uruguay, Macu Alfaro, store manager Emerson Celis, sales manager Roberto de Aranzamendi, H&M’s design director Pernilla Wolhfahrt, officially cut the ribbon and welcomed the first eager shoppers.

Located at Montevideo Shopping, in Buceo neibourhood, the 3,000 sqm flagship store spans over two levels and houses a selection of the latest fashion and accessories for men, women, teenagers and kids. Continuing with the expansion plan for H&M Uruguay the next store will be located in Punta Carretas Shopping and is opening during 2019.
