Makeup in nature’s colours at H&M this autumn

One of this season’s makeup trends at H&M is all about deep autumn colours. Warm and earthy hues, amber, olive green and petrol blue are accentuated by soft powder pink and taupe.

‘The light is particularly beautiful during autumn. Skin tones look warmer, just like nature’s own colour palette that has inspired one of this season’s makeup lines. It’s romantic and a little melancholic with a fresh outdoor feeling,’ says H&M’s head of design Margareta van den Bosch.

Eyes are shaded with a combination of taupe/burnt yellow/powder pink eye shadows or with olive green/petrol blue/light green. Brown or grey eye pencil accentuates the eyes, as does brown or black mascara. Lips are moistened with transparent soft rose or light red lip gloss, and shimmer pearls in powder-pink and pastel pink are brushed on for a fresh and healthy look.

H&M produces its own make-up and skincare products; by H&M. The product line has been created for fashion-conscious women and men, and contains a wide range of cosmetic products in carefully harmonised colours. The products are updated every season and are coordinated with H&M’s clothing trends. The range also includes bodycare products and accessories such as brushes, make-up bags and vanity bags.
