FIRST H&M STORE OPENS IN ROMANIA AROUND 1,000 H&M FANS WAITING AT AFI PALACE COTROCENI
The wait is over – at 11:00 o’clock today, AFI Palace Cotroceni opened the doors to the first H&M store in Romania. Around thousand fashion lovers gathered in front of the two-floor, 1,700 sqm store this morning.
Karl-Johan Persson, CEO, and Carlos Duarte, Country Manager Romania, cut the inaugural red ribbon together with the two store managers, Alina Cristea and Doina Bunea.
“We feel a warm welcome from our Romanian customers, who can finally shop fashion and quality at the best price at H&M”, says Carlos Duarte, H&M Romania Country Manager. ”We look forward to the upcoming weeks, when we will open 5 more stores in Romania.”
At last night’s VIP event, local celebrities, media, stylists and socialites such as Andreea Raicu, Laura Cosoi, Andi Moisescu, Smiley, Iulia Vantur and Andreea Esca attended for an ultimate shopping experience.
For the first time, Romanian customers had the opportunity to discover and shop the collections for everyone, from the latest trends to timeless classics.
The prices in store range from 39.90 RON for women’s tops and skirts, as well as 89.90 RON for women’s jeans. Men jeans can be found for 99.90 RON, while women’s cardigans are available from 39.90 RON.
The H&M store at AFI Palace has approximately 60 employees and is located at 4, Vasile Milea Blvd. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 10.00 to 22.00 and Friday to Sunday from 10.00 to 23.30.
By the end of spring 2011, H&M will open 5 more stores, 4 in Bucharest and one in Brasov. Two stores will open in Cluj and Timisoara during this autumn.
