Madeleine Persson appointed as Sweden´s most powerful female director
On March 8th, the business magazine Veckans Affärer published their list of 21 of Sweden’s most powerful female directors. Madeleine Persson, Managing Director of H&M, was appointed as number one on the list.
The award for Sweden´s most powerful directors is a prestigious award that focuses on lifting women in business.
As Managing Director for H&M, Madeleine´s main responsibilities are design, assortment and buying, store development and marketing.

Madeleine Persson has a long career within the H&M group as she started 24 years ago as a Business controller at the H&M Buying Office for Impuls and Rocky. She worked at the buying office for 17 years within different positions, before she was appointed in 2013 as Managing Director for New Business within the H&M group. In December 2017 Madeleine joined Fredrik Olsson as Managing Director for H&M.
