H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB to become new issuer in the Swedish commercial paper market

The strong credit profile of the H&M group enables cost-effective financing. To increase financing flexibility and cost-effectiveness, the group continuously reviews opportunities to complement this with other sources of funding on the credit market. The company is therefore to launch a Swedish commercial paper programme in May 2019. The commercial paper market is an established source of short-term financing for maturities of up to 12 months. The programme is aimed primarily at increasing financing flexibility in short-term liquidity management. Svenska Handelsbanken is the arranger and is also an issuing agent, along with SEB and Danske Bank.
