H&M’s tailored men’s collection is expanding this spring

It’s looking good for H&M’s tailored men’s range, the latest seasonal collection includes so much more than the tailored suits, shirts and ties that are the mainstays of the concept. With knitwear, piqué, outerwear and non-matching blazers and trousers, the collection now boasts up-to-date interpretations of all the classic pieces a man could want.

‘Most men now combine their office wardrobe with leisure garments. Jeans and T-shirts are important too, therefore, as a complement to our classic men’s line, as is sports-inspired clothing. Just like H&M’s other ranges, this collection is all about styling and personal taste about classic dressing for a modern look,’ says H&M’s Head of Design Margareta van den Bosch.

New additions to the range this spring include tailored cotton and linen pieces in light neutral colours, and fine cashmere knits in fruity pastel shades.

The season kicks off with wool suits in navy with a chalk stripe or in plain flannel grey, complemented by striped or checked cotton shirts and off-white or brightly coloured knits. Peacoats and cotton overcoats add the finishing touch. Further into the season, cotton satin, seersucker cotton, cool wool and linen pieces in a range of fresh, light colours are introduced. Tailored garments are combined with coordinated shirts and ties and thin cashmere. The season closes with knitwear and cotton piqué in warm summer tones of yellow, orange and lilac and tailored styles in brown, beige and camel.
