Style advice from Anna Dello Russo at H&M

“As a stylist I know accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day”, says Anna Dello Russo.

H&M is proud to announce a special collaboration with fashion icon and legendary fashion director, Anna Dello Russo. An idol of the blogosphere, whose flamboyant outfits are endlessly documented by style photographers and broadcasted globally on the web, Anna Dello Russo has once again demonstrated her unique sense of style by creating a special collection of accessories exclusively for H&M. Unabashedly glamorous, precious and playful, the range is an expression of Dello Russo’s taste for ornamentation. The collection will be available starting October 4th –the peak of the global Fashion Week tour – in approximately 140 stores worldwide and online. Dello Russo’s line will feature jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and a trolly- all designed so H&M customers can acquire unique style at an affordable price.

Hawaiian-inspired resort wear raises funds with H&M for Water

H&M is launching H&M for Water, a collection of Hawaiian-inspired resort wear for the entire family. Twenty-five percent of sales from this collection will be donated to WaterAid, which helps provide clean water and sanitation to some of the world’s poorest areas. The sun-soaked collection captures the ease of the Hawaiian lifestyle; with dresses and skirts for women in a palm print, as well as bandeau tops and matching skirts in a nostalgic floral print. The collection also features retro swimwear and an entire range of accessories, such as see-through beach bags and bandanas. For men; the palm-print shirt combined with printed shorts, sunglasses and sandals, is a summer essential. For kids; there are tops with matching skirts for girls and shirts and shorts for boys, all in the same prints as those for the grown-ups. The H&M for Water collection includes garments made of organic cotton and other sustainable materials, which will be sold May 31st in approximately 200 stores worldwide, as well as online.

Summer’s swimwear at H&M

The exciting fantasy of a tropical escape becomes a reality this summer at H&M, with the vibrant colors and patterns of paradise found on bikinis and halter neck swimsuits. Simple block colors of hot pink and acid green make a bold statement, alongside Hawaiian, floral, and paisley prints. There are also feminine strapless one-pieces, as well as scuba-inspired bodies for a sporty feel. For the perfect vacation look, kimono and wrap cover-ups are full of elegance and style.

This summer, men’s swimwear at H&M has an athletic feel, for example, in modern beach classics such as shorts and trunks. These shorts are featured in dark blue with red and white stripes at the waist or along the sides. Longer, classic shorts come in either block colors of pink and dark blue, or in tropical floral prints, painted stripes, or rich and plaid patterns.

Make-up matches the season’s tropical beach fashions

This summer’s glamorous cosmetics at H&M are the perfect complement to this season’s tropical swimwear. Lipstick comes in shades of bright red, pinkish peach, or cerise, matched with vividly printed packaging. In addition, H&M offers shiny lip gloss in red, hot pink, and shimmering light pink. Eye shadow palettes are available in tones of aqua blue mixed with browns, while nail polish comes in luxurious gold, aqua metallic green, and sumptuous, shiny deep hot pink. Shimmering bronze powder adds a glowing touch, while body products such as body lotion and shower gel bring the vacation spirit to life in unique “citrus passion” and “white ginger” scents. Fun tropical prints on make-up and toiletry bags allow you to look just as good carrying the products as you do wearing them.

Ann-Sofie Johansson’s favorites

For summer 2012, the softest of pastel shades are the top choice of Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Head of Design. “Our summer collection’s pretty pastels are just what I want to wear right now,” says Ann-Sofie. “A knee length skirt with pleats, a wide waistband, or elaborate embroidery looks great together with a matching top. Items in pastel shades, such as the sky blue dress, are a dream.” With all these pastel colors, Ann-Sofie suggests making a big statement with accessories and make-up. “Accessories are bold,” she adds, “like the gold shell earrings, the bright orange and pink ring and my favorite necklace made of transparent stones.”

Pastels are also an important story for men this summer at H&M. “For men, the color story is white combined with pastel colors,” says Ann-Sofie. “White pants or pastel blue or green shorts look really fresh with a pastel or white T-shirt under a blazer in yet another light shade. For the summer, there is also a great selection of swimwear for men.”

Exclusive preview of H&M’s fall 2012

A first look at Fall for men at H&M reveals sharper lines and versatile pieces, that create a modern look for the everyday wardrobe. The double-breasted coat’s slick, elongated silhouette makes it a key garment for the season. Every garment plays an important role, whether it is pants that come in shades of mustard, wine and green, or fine-knit turtlenecks and cable-knit sweaters for a new way of layering. The result is a wardrobe of pieces that look great on their own, and together offer endless opportunities for mixing, matching, and expressing a personal style.

H&M Home introduce a children’s collection filled with colour, pattern and a world of new friends

From July, H&M’s home collection is expanding to include a range for children and babies full of colour and fun. The collection debuts with happy and bold colours as well as soft neutrals, with the use of cuddly knits and faux fur, as well as a focus on 100% organic cotton. The animals of the forest are a big inspiration, with bears, rabbits and foxes who will become every child’s new best friend. Playful details turn the home pieces into characters themselves, such as the ears on a knitted bear cushion and throw, or the cute fox on a pink duvet set with a spotty bow in her hair.

Also in the collection are star prints on cushions, bed sets and towels, and leopard and cat prints on duvets and rugs. There’s polka dot prints too, which can be found on the child’s playhouse.

For babies, spots, stripes and stars in soft colours are used on throws, bed sets, hooded robes and muslin towels. Babies have their own set of animal friends too, which appear on dummies, hooks, and as cute soft toys.

It’s all part of H&M’s ever-expanding home range, which brings fashion and fun into every room in the house.
