Kate Morgan Studio x H&M, a childen’s collection inspired by wildlife and animals

H&M is proud to announce a print collaboration with the British fine artist Kate Morgan. Her imaginative studies of wildlife, plants and landscapes are featured as prints on a wide range of children’s clothing and accessories. The capsule collection will be available in selected stores worldwide, as well as on hm.com, from the end of April.

Kate Morgan Studio x H&M is a kidswear collection in which Kate brings to life a fantasy jungle through her colourful and contemporary takes on nature and animals. Using watercolours, she has drawn a variety of motifs that together creates the prints for the whole collection. Toucans and parrots are key, but also tigers, leopards, flamingos, pandas, butterflies and frogs, all set in a lush foliage and vibrant flowers.

“It was really fun to work with H&M on this collaboration, especially since it’s the first time my art has been translated into a whole clothing collection. I also really love the fact that it’s a kids range because when I grew up, I was fascinated with wildlife and animals, so I hope that these pieces will also intrigue the kids and get them interested in natural history. If I can inspire or spark that interest, that would be fantastic,”

says Kate Morgan, Fine artist.

The collection includes tops, t-shirts, trousers, dresses, shorts, playsuits and swimsuits in mainly cotton jerseys, light, fluid chiffons and printed, reversible sequins. The silhouettes are charming yet laidback with details such as cap sleeves, ruffled necklines and handkerchief hemlines. Accessories include sandals, hats and hairbands.

“We are so happy to join forces with the talented Kate Morgan this spring. Her work is both inspiring and full of fun, it’s been a true joy for the H&M team to create a collection evolving from her beautiful painting. In the collection you can find radiant colors, greenery and animals, what’s not to love? I’m very excited about this collection and can’t wait to see the reaction from our young customers,”

says Sofia Löfstedt, Assortment designer kids at H&M.
