Glitz and glam at H&M this Christmas
There’s plenty of glitter and glam at H&M as the festive season approaches. Inspiration and gift ideas abound, for individual gifts or for all the family.
For women, the focus is on lustrous silk, shimmering velvet and soft knits. The velvet suit is as festive as it is versatile, and a full, bell-shaped skirt perfectly complements a feminine party top or jumper. There’s also lingerie and luxurious nightwear, along with a host of must-have accessories. In addition to our accessory collection for party and everyday wear, we’re offering a unique collection of gorgeous costume jewellery created by Solange Azagury-Partridge, the world-renowned British jewellery designer noted for her highly unconventional approach to jewellery design.
‘Accessories are nice both to give and receive. They have a personal feel to them and one doesn’t need to think about sizes. There’s an especially wide range to choose from at the moment. We are naturally proud to be able to offer our customers Solange Azagury-Partridge’s jewellery collection and the rest of our range includes many desirable items too,’ says H&M’s Head of Design Margareta van den Bosch.
For men, extravagance and elegance are key aspects, with well-coordinated velvet or wool blazers and shirts that can be worn with cuff-links. The range of knitwear is particularly extensive, with the emphasis on fine knits in classic styles updated in bright colours or delicate neutrals. Soft scarves in generous lengths also feature, along with caps and leather gloves, which always make welcome Christmas presents.
The Divided collection for girls and boys is based as always on jeans, which are teamed with uniform-inspired dress jackets or blazers, T-shirts featuring stripes or other patterns and metallic prints for a dressed-up look. Romantic tops, knitwear, dresses and of course plenty of accessories are also included in the collection.
For the younger generation, there are princess dresses and stylish little outfits as well as trendy T-shirts, shirts and sweaters, pretty tops and jumpers. The principal accessories are soft scarves, caps and mittens, jewellery and hair accessories, bags with a metallic lustre, belts and shoes.
