H&M Design Award 2012
A jury has selected six brilliant finalists for the H&M Design Award 2012. The finalists are now competing to win the global Design Award. The winner will show their collection at Mercedes-Benz fashion week in Stockholm, February 1, and receives a prize of €50,000. The winner will also get the chance to have chosen pieces from their collection sold in selected H&M stores later in the year. The winner’s fashion show will be live streamed at designaward2012.hm.com and also be shown live on screens in Kungsträdgården and on Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm.
Members of the jury: Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design; designer Christopher Kane; respected journalist Hilary Alexander; style blogger Susie Lau of Style Bubble; fashion journalist Kristopher Arden Houser and Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s creative advisor.
From January 27, visitors to the site will also be able to vote and help their favourite designer to win the prestigious prize of a one-month internship with the designer Christopher Kane’s studio.
