Holiday season 2004 at H&M
This year, the H&M design team have created a winter holiday collection for customers to look and feel their very best around Christmas and the New Year. Glamorous party pieces, comfortable clothes for those lazy days in between and plenty of perfect gifts for each and every one on your Christmas list.
For ladies, the focus is on knitwear, from soft mohair to heavy cable knits. Tailored tuxedo style pieces in velvet or wool mixes. Feminine dresses and separates in sheer chiffon or fine jerseys with sequin and pearl details. And to complete the look, antique style jewellery – brooches, rhinestone rings, earrings and bracelets. Gloves and mittens have pearl embroidery, handbags and belts too. A fake fur stole completes the look. The lingerie collection is built around two different themes. Beautiful feminine lace and chiffon, in pinks, reds and blacks with bow and pearl details, and sharp and sensual, in shiny black satin again with sequins.
The men’s department present velvet blazers, tuxedo style jackets and a knitwear range including lambs wool and cashmere blends. Fine knits to heavy cable knits in styles that include v-neck and roll neck sweaters in a selection of colours. Argyle patterns and jacquard knits are seen in various styles. Main accessories are knitted hats and scarves, cufflinks and ties. Underwear and nightwear for men include dressing gowns, pyjamas and there is also a special selection of gift boxes with boxer shorts and socks.
For H&M Divided girls, there are two looks, party glamour which includes lurex, velvet, chiffon and lace tops, sequin and pearl finishes and bright turquoise and pink fine knits. The other look is more casual – cowboy chic and this range takes denim jeans and skirts and mixes it with a checked western shirt, big buckle belt, and a soft lambs wool jumper. For boys, the mix is equally cool, with gold print T-shirt worn under a pinstripe blazer and with a pair of jeans. Essential accessories are wool scarves and hats.
And for the most important people around the Christmas tree, the children, it’s all about what they really want. The perfect princess dress, the sweetest finger puppet gloves and the hippest sequined jeans for girls. For boys, the coolest smart suit, the cosiest pyjamas and the new favourite jumper.
A selection of the holiday collection is featured in a special Christmas catalogue that will be available in H&M stores from November. The catalogue will also be featured on www.hm.com.
To add extra joy in giving and receiving, customers shopping at H&M will receive a new exclusive Christmas packaging for their gifts.
